水落裝置是以水點下落與背景光影的反差砌成圖像。德國藝術家 Julius Popp 利用水點的小塊(bit)特性元素,配合地心吸力的換畫速度來顯示資訊,改變了自然界瀑布的特性,並擴展了它視覺效果,使得成為典型的資訊藝術傳遞訊息。
The speed at which information is sourced, exchanged, and updated in our modern society is almost inconceivable and more ephemeral than ever before. The installation BIT.FALL, translates this abstract process into a sensory experience and is a metaphor for the present flow of information.
